Buffalo Bills sale corrects market value of sports franchises after Clippers exorbitance

Roger Goodell needed a win, a big win Tuesday. Thankfully for him, the touchdown he wanted arrived with the sale of the Buffalo Bills to Buffalo Sabres owners, Terry and Kim Pegula, for a cost between a reported $1 billion to $1.4 billion and ensuring the Bills will be staying in Western New York. As much as Goodell, who grew up in the area, has to be relieved that the Bills aren’t leaving town, the rest of the sports industry has to be just as pleased in the much needed market correction set the reported sale price.
